So here's my progress so far:

I worked on my characters' GMC like I wanted to. I'm using "Discover the Story Magic" worksheets for this. I've found they really help you get to heart of the GMC matter, help show you where you might not have enough conflict, or where you might be not be setting goals that are important enough, etc. And most importantly, they make you think long and hard about the character MOTIVATION. Always need to know WHY someone is doing something.

As to the actual writing, here's how the new YA is coming along:

So, not a monumental leap, but then I wasn't expecting miracles right off the bat.
